Multnomah County ARES (MCARES) is managing the VHF Ham Radio Communication (Comms) on Sat., Oct. 22, 2011, 8 AM-2PM.
All NETs are invited to participate in the Sat., Oct. 22, 2011 VHF Ham Radio Comms Exercise.
Set-up of the VHF Orange Radio Go Box at the PF&R Stations is important. You don’t need a license to set up the VHF Orange Radio Go Box—a detailed manual on the radio set-up is inside each box.
To talk on the radio you must have a current FCC license.
To volunteer for the Comms Exercise direct your e mail to Bruce Harris, NET Ham Coordinator: bruc...@me.com by Tues. Oct. 18, 3pm. Bruce will answer questions related to the Sat., Oct. 22 Comms Exercise.
Please write in the Subject line of your e mail to Bruce: 2011 Oct Comms NET. Give him the following information.
Your full name.
Your cell number.
Your Ham license call sign, if you have one.
State which PF&R Station (FMA) you will assist at.
Are you willing to deploy to another FMA station other then your own? This applies to Hams and non-Hams.
State your neighborhood association area, aka NET Team name.
You will receive a confirmation e mail from Bruce (MCARES).
